Story of Varney Air Lines
Varney Air Lines, started by Walter T Varney in 1926, eventually became United. Varney was awarded Contract Air Mail Route 5 after being the only bidder.
They began service flying between Pasco, Washington, and Elko, Nevada, with a stop in Boise, Idaho.
